About Paula Robertson

Paula Robertson

Building upon a long standing interest in art, I vowed to pursue it in earnest when I retired from teaching in 1995 in Northern Maine. At that time, my painting references were of our agricultural community and its people in their work environment. The memories generated by the sounds and smells of crisp, fall mornings in the potato fields of rural Maine resulted in a series of watercolor paintings. Always inspired by a community, its people and its natural surroundings, my relocation to Pawleys Island has not changed my focus, simply the subject matter. My camera serves as a traveling companion while I drive around the Low Country. I realize how fortunate I am to have such a colorful locale from which to draw for my paintings. Since my...
